Our Commitment
Giving back is an essential part of who we are. We believe events can be catalysts for connection, confidence, and community pride — and that impact extends far beyond race day.
We’re proud to have supported organizations that feed families, protect green spaces, spark creativity, strengthen local journalism, and uplift individuals on their recovery and housing journeys.
Through financial giving and hands-on service, we invested in organizations that uplift, support, and connect people across Baltimore and beyond.

Sarah Benedict, Owner/Operator
Hello there!
I'm Sarah, a Certified Race Director and the proud founder of Road and Trail Events. At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to creating exceptional experiences for everyone involved—clients, staff, volunteers, vendors, and participants.
With a deep passion for empowering event managers to shine, I bring a wealth of experience in event planning, vendor management, permitting, and event timing. My mission is to guide you through every step of creating running, cycling, or multi-sport events that not only meet your goals but also strengthen and uplift the local community in meaningful ways.
I’ve spent years navigating the intricate world of event management, from the earliest stages of project planning to race-day execution. Whether it’s securing permits, coordinating with vendors, or ensuring a seamless participant experience, I’m here to ensure every detail reflects our shared commitment to excellence.
Based in Baltimore, Maryland, my experience spans the Mid-Atlantic region, the Southwestern US, and beyond. No matter where your event takes place, I’m dedicated to making race day the best day.
Thank you for trusting Road and Trail Events to help bring your vision to life. Together, let’s create something extraordinary!
Warmly,
Sarah
